Network Component

What are nodes? What do these represent?

Nodes in a network are the people, groups, organizations, computers, URLs, and other connected information/knowledge entities

What are links/edges and what do these represent?

Traversal in a graph is only possible through links/edges.These edges might be weighted or non-weighted. In addition, edges might have directions based on which graph is classified into following categories:- Un-directed Graph — when you can traverse either direction between two nodes. Directed Graph — when you can traverse only in the specified direction between two nodes.

What is degree, In degree and out degree?,

Degree: The degree of vertex is number of edges that are connected to the vertex. In above un-directed graph, degree of vertex-1 is 2 and vertex 3 is 3.

What is degree, In degree and out degree?

Degree: The degree of vertex is number of edges that are connected to the vertex. In above un-directed graph, degree of vertex-1 is 2 and vertex 3 is 3.
